Call for Applications: Knowledge Braiders’ Award

 

Are you part of a team engaged in place-based research, training, or knowledge mobilization initiatives? Do you braid Indigenous and Western knowledge systems in your work? 

 

The Knowledge Braiders’ Award of $15,000 is to be shared by two recipients from the team to present their work and contribute to a training session at the Braiding Knowledges Canada 2025 Gathering, taking place March 5-7, 2025 in Gatineau, Quebec.

 

The award covers travel and registration costs to attend the BKC Gathering, as well as a stipend to support your preparation and attendance.

Internationational Mountain Day Around the World

On December 11, people in at least 23 countries celebrated International Mountain Day (IMD) with events highlighting the vital role of mountains and the need for their protection.

The FAO headquarters in Rome hosted discussions on this year’s theme: “Mountain solutions for a sustainable future – innovation, adaptation, and youth,” focusing on climate action through innovation and youth engagement. Learn more
